ACC opens hotline for expatriate Bangladeshis

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today introduced a hotline to allow Bangladeshi expatriates to lodge complaints about irregularities and corruption.

Expatriates can call +8809612106106 between 9am and 5pm Bangladesh local time.

On Wednesday, the ACC used the phone number of one of its officials for receiving complaints from expatriates.

In two days, the ACC received over a hundred complaints from expatriates in Australia, France, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Malaysia.

ACC said most of the complaints were related to land, shops, law and order, irregularities of travel agencies and Akama.

But these complaints are not under the ACC's purview.
