Three killed in Naogaon road accident

Three people were killed and two others injured after a truck rammed into a battery run auto-rickshaw in Naogaon's Manda upazila this morning.

The deceased and the injured were passengers of the auto-rickshaw, our Natore correspondent reports quoting police.

The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam (35), Jaynul Haque (36), and Ashraful Islam (29), said Sub-Inspector of Manda Police Station Aminul Haque.

The incident occurred near Ferryghat Bridge area on the Rajshahi-Naogaon regional highway when a truck hit the Naogaon bound auto-rickshaw around 9:00am, the police official said.

The injured are being treated at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
