A fan was removed from the stands of the Sylhet International Stadium for making an obscene gesture towards Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal during the first ODI against Zimbabwe today.

The incident took place in the 13th over of Bangladesh's innings, when Tamim was walking up the stairs to the dressing room after being dismissed for 24 off 43 balls. The fan, a 32-year-old man, made a gesture directed at the left-handed opener, who came out of the dressing room following the incident. 

Head of BCB's security team Hossain Imam confirmed the news to The Daily Star and added that the offender is set to be handed over to the police as per BCB's security rules.
