India confirms two new coronavirus cases
India reported two more cases of coronavirus today, including one in New Delhi, taking the number of positive cases to five so far.
"One positive case of coronavirus has been detected in New Delhi, and one has been detected in [the southern state of] Telangana," the country's health ministry said in a statement, our New Delhi correspondent reports.
The patient from New Delhi has recently gone to Italy -- which has seen a large number of such cases -- while the one from Telangana has been to Dubai in recent times it said, adding "further details of his travels are being ascertained."
Both patients are stable and being closely monitored, according to the statement.
Earlier, three students from Kerala, who returned from China and had been confirmed to have the virus, were discharged from hospital after recovery.
The global death toll from the outbreak crossed 3,000 today after dozens more were killed in China and the number of cases rose across the world with a second fatality in the United States.
The deadly virus, first detected in China in December last year, has spread to more than 60 countries and infected more than 88,000 people.
