Bangladeshi expatriates who will not be able to return to Qatar on time after the end of their leaves have been asked to keep in contact with their respective employers.

The Bangladesh embassy in Qatar made the call in a statement after the Gulf country temporarily suspended entry for people from Bangladesh and 13 other countries as a preventive measure due to the spread of coronavirus worldwide.

The embassy is in touch with authorities concerned of the country to learn of the necessary measures to be taken in case of complications regarding expired visas or unscheduled leaves, the statement read.

If Bangladeshi citizens are infected with the coronavirus in Qatar, they have been asked to call 33662000 for the embassy's help, it said.
