Trying to shift quarantine centre project from Diyabari: ISPR
The setting up of a quarantine centre at Rajuk Apartment Project near Diyabari in Dhaka's Uttara is currently being delayed, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said today.
"We are trying to shift the quarantine centre elsewhere," ISPR Director Lt Col Abdullah Ibn Zaid told The Daily Star today.
On March 19, ISPR issued a statement after government authorised the Bangladesh Army to run two quarantine centres in Dhaka.
The quarantine centres were supposedly being set up at the Ashkona Hajj Camp near the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and at Rajuk Apartment Project near Diyabari of Uttara Sector 18.
But residents of Diyabari area protested against setting up quarantine centre there.
