“It was hard to keep Forbes a secret for two months” - Raba Khan

This morning, social media was taken by storm when Raba Khan's inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020 List was announced. The artiste, who made a name for herself with comedic content after launching her YouTube channel, The Jhakanaka Project, in 2014, is elated at her own achievement. "Incidentally, Forbes is the only magazine that my father reads," said Raba in an interview over the phone. "You can only imagine how happy my family is after the official announcement."

Forbes Asia reached out to the talented entertainer in February, for a photoshoot and an interview after letting her know of her induction in the Media, Marketing and Advertising segment. "It was very hard for me to keep this a secret for two months," said the 20 year old. "I can't believe that they put me on the cover and my face is plastered all over their website!"

Ever since Raba Khan's content became viral sensations on the internet, she has displayed a vast array of talent – including her surprisingly good prowess at singing and dancing.  Her controversial book, Bandhobi, was a best-seller, much to the dismay of many. "Throughout the years, I've always had a 'go-getter' attitude, meaning that I always knew what I wanted and got it done," says the artiste, who always felt like she would make it in Forbes at one time or another. It begs the question – what's next for Raba Khan? She boldly answers, "What's next? Time Magazine!"
