Government grant-winning film Adventure of Sundarban, based on Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal's novel Ratuler Raat, Ratuler Din, began shooting from March 13. Directed by Abu Raihan Jewel, the film stars Siam Ahmed and Pori Moni in the lead roles. The team went to Khulna for the shoot. However, under the current circumstances, the cast and crew were unable to return to Dhaka. "Originally, we planned to shoot for 26 days in different areas of Khulna, Sundarban, and Mongla. However, we could only film for 20 days," said Abu Raihan Jewel. "March 28 was our last day of shoot. We finally returned to Dhaka with special permission from the Naval Ministry."

The crew of the film.

The team could not return immediately, as transport services were suspended by government, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. "We could return by bus, but I did not take any risks. For the rest of the days, we stayed in the cruise and didn't allow anyone to go out, except for urgencies," shared the director. Raihan also mentioned that they disinfected areas of the boat daily.  With 120 people, including the workers in the cruise and 104 members of the cast and crew, they were in Khulna for a week. "I am grateful to the Naval Ministry, Home Minister and the District Police, for helping us to come back safely."

The film also features Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Azad Abul Kalam, Monira Mithu, Kochi Khandakar and Ashish Khandakar, among others.
