2-year-old dies of flu-like symptoms in Moulvibazar

A two-year-old child died of flu-like symptoms in Moulvibazar's Kamalganj upazila this morning.

Dr Mahbub Alam, upazila health and family planning officer of Kamalganj, confirmed the matter to The Daily Star's Moulvibazar correspondent.

The child was suffering from cough and fever and developed breathing difficulties recently, a family member of the deceased was quoted as saying.

A rapid response team collected samples and sent it to the Moulvibazar civil surgeon's office who will then send it to IEDCR for testing.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ashekul Haque said the family and nearby houses have been put under quarantine.
