2 killed after pick-up van runs them over in Bogura

Two people died after a pick-up van ran them over in Bogura Sadar upazila early today.

The deceased are Delowar Hossain (45) and Dulal Hossain (40) of Khamarkandi village under Sadar upazila, reports our Bogura correspondent.

The pick-up van driver lost his control over steering and hit the two, who were sitting beside Bogura bypass road near Khamarkandi village around 6.00am, said Rezaul Karim, inspector (investigation) of Bogura Sadar Police Station.

The van plunged into a roadside ditch after hitting the duo, the inspector added.

Police seized the pick-up van but the driver and his helper managed to flee the scene, said the police officer.
