The Anti-Corruption Commission submitted a 10-day remand prayer today to quiz Regent Hospital Chairman Mohammad Shahed in a case filed over misappropriation of Tk 2.71 crore from Farmers Bank Ltd.

ACC Deputy Director Mohammad Shahjahan Meraj, also investigation officer (IO) of the case, submitted the petition to a Dhaka court today.

Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of the Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka fixed August 10 for a hearing on the remand prayer in Shahed's presence.

Shahed was sent to Satkhira jail after completion of his 10-day remand in an arms case filed against him earlier on July 15.
