EC suspends 5 cops in Chandnaish, Kalkini

The Election Commission today suspended five policemen in-charge of separate voting centres in Chittagong’s Chandnaish and Madaripur’s Kalkini municipalities.

Also, the commission has withdrawn all deployment of law enforcement agencies in those centres which were suspended officially, an election commissioner said this afternoon.

They were suspended for “negligence in duty”.
