The judicial use of international laws, judgments in formal adjudicative courts is being seen and recognised around the world to an increasing extent.
Since the dawn of civilisation, people have been dependent on the environment for everything. To make economic development, natural resources have been exploited continuously as if there were no tomorrow. It looks like we have forgotten that environmental resources are limited.
In developing countries like Bangladesh, mental health issues are frequently ignored. In Bangladesh, 3.4-22.9% children and 6.5-31% adults suffer from mental health issues.
In the context of increasing numbers of rape, on many occasions, the so-called ‘cross-fire’ and death penalty tend to come up as two apparently viable options for addressing the offence of rape.However, a demand for both of the above, masks the real problem underlying the crisis and have their own shares of problems.
Extra-judicial killings have allegedly been carried out by our law enforcement agencies for many years now. The law enforcement officials have all along maintained that the deaths in the incidents are results of either ‘gunfight’ or ‘crossfire’ and are not intentional at all.
