A Rangpur court today sent six police constables to jail in connection with securing jobs in Bangladesh Police using fake freedom fighter certificates.

The district's Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Sawkat Ali passed the order after rejecting their bail petition, reports our local correspondent quoting Shah Mohammad Nayanur Rahman, additional public prosecutor of Rangpur.

PP Nayanur said two cases were filed against the six accused for securing jobs in Bangladesh Police by providing fake freedom fighter certificates and all of them were in bail.

The accused are—Mahbub Alam, Nurnabi, Musrafizur, Monowar, Mahbub and Shafiuzzaman.
