2 Banoful staffs stabbed to death in Sylhet

Two employees of a Banoful sweetmeat factory were stabbed to death and another was injured by unknown attackers in Khadimnagar area of Sylhet Sadar upazila this evening.

The deceased were identified as Raju, 19, Md Taku, 20, employees of Banoful and Co Ltd, which has food shops across the country. 

The injured, Russel, 22, was rushed to the MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital with critical condition, Nizamuddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Shah Poran Police Station, told our Moulvibazar correspondent.

Harun, another staff of the factory, who was present during the attack, said a gang of around 10 miscreants on a microbus arrived in front of the factory in the Bisic industrial area around 7:00pm.

They attackers stabbed the trio indiscriminately, leaving Raju and Taku spot dead, Harun told our correspondent.

The police official said they were trying to find out the motive behind the attack and arrest the miscreants.
