2 staffers of private clinic held with yaba in Khulna

Two employees of a private clinic in Khulna city were arrested with 1,659 pieces of yaba tablets today.

Acting on a tip off, a joint team of Khulna district administration and Department of Narcotics Control launched a drive at Health Garden Clinic near Khulna Medical College Hospital in the afternoon.

During the drive, the team arrested Asaduzzman Hira and Othai, two staffers of the clinic, along with the yaba tablets and Tk 1.30 lakh, said executive magistrate Debashis Bosak, who led the drive.

The arrestees have been conducting drug business for long, our Khulna correspondent reports quoting the executive magistrate.
