“Suicide Squad” character posters released

Suicide Squad fans were treated to new character artwork before a new trailer for the film drops today. Director David Ayer tweeted a collage of Harley Quinn, Enchantress, Killer Croc and the rest of the gang with the caption, “Worst. Heroes. Ever. #SuicideSquad trailer drops Tuesday night in the DC Films Special! 9:30/8:30c on The CW!” 

Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne and other cast members also posted individual posters of their character via Twitter and Instagram. 

The upcoming superhero film, based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name, is intended to be the third installment in the DC Extended Universe. The heavyweight cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, and Viola Davis have had fans excited for a while with its teaser trailer and other promo materials. 

“Suicide Squad” hits theaters on Aug. 5.
