War crimes: 3 Noakhali accused denied bail
A war crimes tribunal in Dhaka today rejected bail pleas for three war crimes accused who were allegedly involved in war crimes during 1971.
The accused are: Abdul Kuddus, 84, Md Joynal Abedin, 73, and Mohammad Yusuf, 60.
The three-member International Crimes Tribunal-1 rejected the bail petitions of Kuddus for second time and the others for the first time.
The accused filed the petitions on January 19 citing their health grounds.
The three are among the five men from Noakhali who are accused in a case filed for their alleged involvement in crimes committed in 1971. One of them, Mansur, is now on the run.
