3 hurt as crude bombs hurled at bus in city

Three people, including a college student, were injured as miscreants hurled several crude bombs at a bus near Mohammadpur Beribandh in Dhaka early today.

Victims Mozammel, 21, a second year student of Makbul Hossain College, Hira Mia, 27, and Nurul Islam, 60, were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Inspector Mozammel, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said miscreants hurled several crude bombs at a Gabtoli-bound bus of ‘Janjabil Paribahan’ when it reached near Dhaka Uddyan around 5:45am.

The bomb attack took place on the 39th day of the countrywide nonstop blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance that led to widespread arson and bomb attacks.
