On June 11, 2021, the 7th anniversary event of Google's Bangladesh Local Guide took place at 'Project Hilsa', in Mawa.

Bangladesh Local Guide is a Google map based volunteer community. There are chapters of this community in different countries of the world. The Bangladesh chapter is known as the Bangladesh Local Guide.

The community, which started in Bangladesh in 2014, now has more than 6,000 members across the country, working tirelessly to make the map of Bangladesh informative, accurate and correct. Apart from Bangladesh Local Guide's map based activities, this community also works to inspire various social services.

In this year's event, 120 local guides from all over Bangladesh participated.
