2.5 million doses of vaccine from the United States arrive in Dhaka

After a prolonged halt in Covid-19 vaccination programme, Bangladesh received 2.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine from the United States under the COVAX framework.

1.2 million of the total 2.5 million doses of the vaccine arrived on Friday. United States Ambassador to Bangladesh, Earl R. Miller was present on the occasion to receive the first consignment. The remaining 1.3 million doses arrived in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
