Life has been so far so good - Tisha answers readers' questions

Nusrat Imroze Tisha

Nusrat Imroze Tisha has seen equal success in both television and film. The actor has many popular plays and critically acclaimed TV plays and films to her credit. This month, we asked our readers to ask their questions to Tisha. Here are some selected questions that Tisha answered for her audience.

Saleha Akhter: Do you have any Tollywood dream?

Tisha: Not only Tollywood, as an artiste I am willing to act in any country in the world. However, there are some prerequisites. I need a good script, good director, and after all a good character that suits me. I am an actor, and I don't have problem with acting anywhere.

Nusrat Jahan: What can you do for society from your position? Are you involved with any social work?

Tisha: I believe I can do a lot for the society, and I have some responsibilities. Personally, I try my best to contribute to the betterment of society with whatever scope I have. Also I am working as a Cultural Ambassador of the Korean Embassy to promote culture. This is also a social work. Moreover, I am involved with an initiative for autistic children. Prime Minister's daughter Putul is leading the initiative. It gives me joy to work for the children.

Abdus Sabur Shanto: Can you differentiate your 10 year younger self from your present self? How did you prepare yourself to be an actress?

Tisha: I would say there are some differences. I was unmarried then, and now I have a family. I gained weight. Also my acceptability as an actor developed. I gradually developed myself and there was no rush. I worked hard and had that level of patience. After all I was honest and committed to my work. People's love and good wishes brought me here.

Jillal Hossain: You can immaculately portray conflicts and quarrels. Did you have a truculent personality in childhood?

Tisha: I wasn't quarrelsome in my childhood. Portraying any role is quite hard. If an artiste works with dedication, they can portray any role properly.

Raihan Samad: What do you think is your biggest weakness as an actor?

Tisha: You need to hide your weakness. It's not supposed to be exposed.

Sourov Mehdi: If you're given a chance to shoot in any country in the world, which country you'd pick first?

Tisha: I would keep Bangladesh on top of my list, and then I will think about other countries. Perhaps I am the only artiste who barely shoots outside Bangladesh. I think our country has many locations for shooting.

Ahmed Jahangir: Is there any performance that you watched afterwards and felt there was room for improving?

Tisha: I never felt so.

Arunima Ali: What is the biggest regret of your professional life?

Tisha: There's no regret. Life has been so far so good. I get unconditional love and warmth from people. That's a huge achievement.
