5yr old found dead in Bhashantek septic tank

The body of a five-year-old boy was recovered from a septic tank in Dhaka’s Bhashantek area today. Police suspect that the boy might have fallen in while playing.

The deceased was identified as Sajid Khan, 5, son of local resident Osman Khan. The boy was missing since yesterday, police said.

A missing report was filed with Bhashantek Police Station in this regard, said Nuruzzaman, a sub-inspector of the police station.

The boy’s father saw the body inside the septic tank this morning while searching. Police recovered the body on information from him.

“We primarily suspect that the boy might have fallen in while playing,” SI Nuruzzaman said. The body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
