Critically acclaimed film "Rehana Maryam Noor" has been sent to the Bangladesh Film Censor Board for approval.

Ehsanul Haque, executive producer of the movie, confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

"We have submitted the film to the Censor Board yesterday, and are waiting to get an uncut clearance of the film, within 10 to 15 days," Ehsanul added.

Haque also added that if everything goes well, they are planning on releasing the movie by the end of October.

"Rehana Maryam Noor" already garnered international acclaim at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, with its hard-hitting concept. The movie, which was featured in the "Un Certain Regard" section received a standing ovation, during its premiere at Cannes.

 The Abdullah Mohammad Saad directorial reached another milestone, as it was selected for the Debate section of the 65th British Film Institute of London Film Festival, which is due to run from October 6 to 17.
