A timber-laden truck stuck on a Bailey bridge on the Tangail-Aricha regional highway in Tangail’s Nagarpur upazila. Locals said a part of the surface of an already worn-out bridge was damaged when the truck was crossing it yesterday. Local administration officials said vehicles weighing more than eight tonnes were barred from using the bridge but that rule is flouted regularly.
