Thailand has shortened the quarantine period for fully vaccinated travellers to seven days from October 1, according to an announcement made today by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka.

All foreign nationals traveling from every country, including Bangladesh, are eligible to enter Thailand through the Sandbox Scheme, the announcement said.

Travellers who are fully vaccinated -- at least 14 days prior to departure date -- with vaccines approved by Thai authorities, shall undergo a seven-day quarantine period.

Travellers who are not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated shall undergo a 10-day quarantine period.

Children under the age of 18 who are not vaccinated and are travelling together with fully vaccinated parents/guardians will have the same quarantine period with their parents/guardians.

All fully vaccinated travellers from Bangladesh are requested to submit a Covid-19 certificate of vaccination issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the time of Thailand's Certificate of Entry (COE) registration.

Following the decision made by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), the Royal Thai Embassy announced changes in measures regarding the Sandbox Scheme and quarantine period effective from October 1 onwards.
