Mushy saves the day for Bangladesh
Bangladesh star batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored 71 runs from 56 balls in the seventh match of the ICC Cricket World Cup against Afghanistan at the Manuka Oval, Canberra today.
He was the top-scorer for the Tigers and enabled his team to reach a challenging total against the Afghan boys.
Mushfiqur was in charge from ball one as he pierced the field regularly to hit six boundaries apart from many singles and twos. He also struck a huge six in his usual nonchalant manner.
His partnership with Shakib Al Hasan helped Bangladesh recover from a slow start and rush of wickets in the middle of the innings.
Mushfiqur's father was present at the stadium to cheer his son and his favourite team to victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
