Bangabandhu corner opens at Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad
A 'Bangabandhu Corner' has been set up at the Bangladesh High Commission in Pakistan's capital Islamabad.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen inaugurated the corner today. It has been adorned with timeless inscriptions, photographs, books and publications on the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The foreign Secretary is leading a five-member delegation to the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers currently being held in the Pakistan capital.
High Commissioner Md Ruhul Alam Siddique presented the foreign secretary and the members of his entourage with copies of English and Urdu versions of the "Unfinished Memoirs" of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh, which were published in Pakistan respectively in 2012 and 2013.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC, Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary, and the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan were also present.
Director General Wahida Ahmed, Director Md Sakil Sahrior of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, officers and officials of the Bangladesh High Commission attended the inauguration ceremony.
