Sayum claims Summit Golf title
Mohammad Sayum claimed his second BPGA title of the season by winning the 11th Summit Professional Golf Tournament, beating Siddikur Rahman by three shots at the Kumritola Golf Club yesterday.
The multiple-BPGA winner from KGC recovered from a poor second round with a fine final round yesterday to win the title of Tk 1500,000-lakh event with an aggregate score of eight-under-par (208).
This is Sayum's second BPGA title of the season, following his victory in the Runner Professional Golf Tournament in late September.
Siddikur, who returned to the country recently, scored 70, 72 and 69 for an aggregate of five-under-par (211).
Akbar Hossain and Jakiruzzaman Jakir, with matching scores of even-par (216), finished tied for third position.
