Mir Sabbir’s unique approach of promoting ‘Raat Jaga Phool’
A video on Facebook shows an old man trying to guide pedestrians on a busy street to cross the road using a foot over bridge. He is also offering a prize for this, in the form of tickets to the film "Raat Jaga Phool", to those who are listening to his plea. Mir Sabbir himself, in disguise as an old man, promoted his debut directorial "Raat Jaga Phool" in this way, recently.
The film will hit theatres on December 31. It stars National Award winning actor Fazlur Rahman Babu, eminent actor Abul Hayat, Mir Sabbir, and Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, among others.
The social awareness video was posted by Mir Sabbir on his Facebook profile. At one point, he revealed his identity, and the general people, out of excitement, hugged the actor-director.
The story, script and dialogues of the government granted film is handled by Mir Sabbir himself.
The film contains five beautiful tracks, featuring Member of Parliament and noted folk singer Momotaz Begum, eminent Indian singer Nachiketa, along with noted singers Shafi Mondal, S I Tutul and Rahul Ananda.
