Atiqun Nabi is a young man who dreams of changing the world with the power of technology. This 25-year-old brought about positive changes in the field, which he takes pride in.

Most of Atiqun's works revolves around security systems. One of his best inventions yet is that of a microchip that works as a SIM card inside Fire Control Panels. “I remembered the Bashundhara City incident when it caught fire on a holiday and no one was there to hear the smoke detectors go off before the fire spread. That's generally what the smoke detector is for -- to detect the fire before it spreads and causes more damage,” says Atiqun. He continues, “So I thought, what if there was a way for the authorities to be notified as soon as the smoke detector goes off? That is when I conceived the idea of advancing the Fire Control Panel with a chip that would directly send text messages and phone calls to the authorities of the building if smoke is detected. As a result, there would be a higher possibility of the fire to be extinguished before causing too much damage.” He has already sold the product to a few companies, one of them being Pran RFL.
Working in his own company, Rosabi, Atiqun and his team researches on security and works out ways to develop and advance the existing systems in Bangladesh. His work caters to all users – individuals to big industries. The company's works focus on home and industrial security systems and are capable of concisely and efficiently performing assigned operations, whilst providing regular update alerts to authorised personnel via text messages and phone calls.

“I always had the knack for electronics and gadgets,” says Atiqun. “After finishing my education at Motijheel Model High School and Dhaka City College, respectively, I enrolled myself into American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB) to major in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Later on, I joined Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)'s Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) programme,” says Atiqun.

Atiqun plans to keep advancing technology for the people of this country to lead simpler and better lives.
