In-person exams to be held in JU from Feb 7

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have announced that the practical and theoretical examinations will be held in person from February 7.

However, online classes will continue until further notice.

This was said in a notification signed by the university's acting registrar, Rahima Kaniz, yesterday, reports our JU correspondent.

According to the announcement, from February 7, all practical classes and examinations (theoretical, practical, practice examinations, and weekends) can be taken in person while complying to appropriate hygiene rules. Departments will take necessary steps.

Oral exams can also be taken online if necessary, according to the notification.

In response to Cabinet Division directives regarding the closure of educational institutions, the university authorities announced the suspension of physical examinations from January 21 to February 6.
