Jacks breaks glass with big hit
Chattogram Challengers batter Will Jacks was batting at the nets of Ground 2, adjacent to the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday. Fortune Barishal and Comilla Victorians match was going on at the main ground when suddenly sound of breaking glass caught the attention of the media present at the press box.
It turned out that Jacks, who is the highest run-getter of the ongoing BPL, hit a Enamul Haque Jr. delivery so hard, it crashed into the glasses located at the pathway that connects the outer Stadium to the main ground. Jacks has scored 280 runs in eight matches, hitting 14 sixes so far -- the highest number of sixes hit by a batsman in the ongoing BPL.
The glass broke, without shattering but those present at the terrace behind the press box was well aware of Jacks's hitting prowess, having taken evasive action during the session with batter producing a few big hits during the session that landed at the terrace. Chattogram's other overseas Chadwick Walton then hit another big one latter at Ground 2 which hit SICS venue manager Joydeb Das in the arm. The venue manager had slight bruising but was doing well.
