CCTV cameras installed in Gazipur safari park to monitor animals
The authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur installed CCTV cameras to monitor the animals, a dozen of which died recently.
"Four CCTV cameras were installed at various locations throughout the park's core zone to monitor the animals around the clock," said Molla Rezaul Karim, the park's newly appointed director.
He said that the CCTV cameras were installed on February 3 and that these will allow them to respond more quickly whenever an unusual situation arises.
In the last 33 days, one tiger, one lioness, and 11 zebras died in the park. The exact causes of death are being investigated by a committee.
