71 students of DU, its affiliated colleges recommended being suspended for breaching exam protocols
The disciplinary board at Dhaka University today recommended that 71 students be suspended for various periods for attempting to obtain unethical benefits during university examinations.
According to DU Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani, who is also member secretary of the university's disciplinary body, the students are from DU and its affiliated colleges.
The recommendation came from a meeting with DU Vice Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, the proctor told our DU correspondent.
Besides, the committee also recommended one-year suspension for Sifat Ullah, a student of the Women and Gender Studies department of the university, from all academic activities and a permanent ban from Masterda Surja Sen Hall for breaching discipline of the university, said Rabbani.
The recommendations would be sent to the syndicate for approval, he added.
