Tickets for ‘Cricket Celebrates Mujib 100’ concert featuring AR Rahman on sale today
A. R. Rahman, one of the most celebrated musicians of the sub-continent, confirmed his return to Bangladesh on Saturday. The tickets of the concert, scheduled for March 29, is set to be available from Monday morning, 10 am onwards.
"I'm coming to Bangladesh on the occasion of 'Cricket celebrates Mujib's 100', organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] to commemorate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," said A. R. Rahman through a video message provided by the BCB.
The fans of the Indian maestro composer, renowned for his many Bollywood classics, would want to mark down the following date on their calender: March 29, the day he is scheduled to perform live in Mirpur. Alongside Rahman, country's popular singer Momtaz Begum and band Miles are among the artists to grace the stage.
Tickets, priced in the range of BDT 1,000 to 10,000, for the much-anticipate concert will be available at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on March 28 and March 29 within 10am to 5pm. Club House tickets are priced at BDT 1,000 (Bronze) while the 'On Ground' tickets are priced at BDT 5,000 (Gold) and 10,000 (Platinum).
"See you on the 29th of March, 2022, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka," concluded the Academy Award-winning musician, who had previously performed in Bangladesh at the invitation of BCB before the 2014 T20 World Cup.
The upcoming event is taking place after the novel coronavirus outbreak postponed it in 2020 where, apart from arranging a concert with A. R. Rahman, the BCB also had two exhibition T20 matches between Asia and World XI in store. This time, however, the BCB has decided to settle with the concert.
