Taking to social media, the "Zero" actor recently dropped a hilarious video with the "Sanju" director in which he could be seen admiring Hirani's  movies and asking the director if he has any film for him.

The filmmaker replies that he has a script to which Khan asks if there's any comedy, emotion, and romance in the movie. Hiranj says yes but advises the actor to avoid his signature pose while romancing.

"I'll chop off my hands if you wish," jokes the superstar.

Hirani then unveils the title of the movie as "Dunki". In a response, Khan says, "I wonder what he is making. But whatever it is, just grab it."

Khan was one of the actors in discussions for Hirani's breakout hit "Munna Bhai M.B.B.S." in 2003, before the role eventually went to Sanjay Dutt. "Dunki" is the duo's first film together.

Hirani's films always carry social messages, with a tinge of comedy. According to reports, "Dunki" will be based on donkey flights — an illegal method of entering a foreign country via multiple stops in other countries.

It is a popular method adopted by thousands of youngsters every year after they fail to enter the target country via legitimate means.

"Dunki" is the story of a Punjabi boy and his arduous journey to Canada.

The announcement video showcases a plane flying above a desert. Many people are seen walking in the middle of the desert. In addition, a border-like area is visible in the clip.
