Eid special shows on Bengali streaming services

After two years of fearful pandemic, Eid has come once again, bearing the brightness of a fresh hot summer with a tint of rain. If you wish to spend some of your much-deserved Eid break binging brand new Eid special shows, we got you covered. Let's take a look at some of the Eid special shows releasing at various Bengali streaming services.

Chorki

On Chorki this Eid, director Raihan Rafi's movie Floor Number 7 is set to be released. Starring Shobnom Bubly, Sumon Anowar, Tama Mirza and Shariar Nazim Joy, this show looks into a rather dark side of the showbiz industry. This Chorki Original's snippets feature a fusion of retro-themed outfits and hairstyles with a vintage vibe. The alluring glam world of showbiz is portrayed through the trailers and teasers running in social media and YouTube. Model Raaz Mania will make his debut in this film as well. 

Bongo

Bengali online streaming platform Bongo's BoB (Based on Books) is launching its season 2 this Eid. Based on Syed Manzoorul Islam's book of short tales Ondhokar O Alo Dekhar Golpo a telefiction named Ek Aloukik Bikeler Golpo is set to release this Eid day. It is directed by Noor Imran Mithu and stars Ferdous Hasan Neville, Tanzika Amin, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Shatabdi Wadud. Those searching for a supernatural spiciness in their regular watchlist, this can be your go-to this Eid!

Prashchitto, directed by Vicky Zahed, based on Obaidul Huq's Ekti Saree, Kamranga Boma O Onnanno, will be released on the second day of Eid. The telefiction stars Afran Nisho, Nishat Priom, Faruque Ahmed and others. 

Bongo will also stream Imraul Rafat-directed Freelancer Nadia on the third day of Eid. The telefiction is adapted from Kemon Achen Freelancer Nadia written by Rahitul Islam. It stars Mehazabien Chowdhury, Sudip Biswas Deep and Shamima Nazneen. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh, will be seen in a scene as well.

On the fourth day of Eid, Bongo will release Sada Private, based on the book of the same name written by Istiaq Ahmed. The episode is directed by Ashikur Rahman and stars Tariq Anam Khan, Ziaul Haque Palash, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak and Irfan Sajjad.

Based on the book Pen by Rasyat Rahman Ziko, Shihab Shaheen directed episode Half Chance will be streamed on the fifth day of the Eid. The episode stars Tousif Mahboob, Tamim Mridha, Tanjin Trisha and Sarika Sabah. 

Imdadul Haque Milon's book Surovi will be made into another telefiction named Surovi that is set for the sixth day of Eid. Directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, Surovi stars Yamin Haque Bobby, Subarna Mustafa, Shampa Reza, Dolly Zahur and others.

On the seventh day of Eid, Chol, based on the book of the same name by Antik Mahmud will be streamed. This episode is directed by Mahmudur Rahman Himi and it stars Yash Rohan, Sabila Noor and Syed Zaman Shaon, among others.

Hoichoi

Mosharraf Karim starrer Dour is all set to release on Hoichoi on May 2, 2022. For the first time, Mosharraf Karim's wife Robena Reza will star opposite him on screen. The trailer features glimpses of Robena Reza, Rayaz, Intekhab Dinar, Tareq Anam Khan, Irfan Sazzad, Tasnuva Tisha, Swagoto and Uzzal Mahmud. The anticipated show is a story of an intense chase that revolves around a car to save a child - only to reveal the conflicted sides of all the characters. The series is led by Ruhul Amin (Mosharraf Karim), a prominent business man with a past that will put him on an intense chase that turns their lives upside down.

Binge

Mosharraf Karim is coming with yet another hyped web series for Eid titled Isaac Liton. The series is directed by Ashrafuzzaman and also stars Orchita Sporshia, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Azizul Hakim, Saberi Alom and Maznun Mizan, among others. Mosharraf Karim plays the role of Issac Newton who walks against the tide. His original name Issac Newton gets twisted by his friends mocking him as 'Issac Liton'. This comedy drama from Karim sure promises some good laughs from its teasers and trailers.

Bioscope

While no Bioscope Eid originals have been announced, the OTT platform stated that they are releasing three older movies for the first time in their platform: Mission Extreme (2021), Raat Jaga Phool (2021), and Mukhosh (2022). 

Bioscope is also releasing a number of short films that will be featured on Deepto TV as well. One of these is the short film Highway by director M.A. Towfik, set to release on the 4th day of Eid. The film stars Imtiaz Barshon and Nafisa Kamal Jhumur in lead roles. 

Short film series Baishe 21 is a bundle of series waiting to be released this Eid season, which will be available for viewing on Bioscope as well. On Eid day Fountain Pen starring prominent actor Abul Hayat is set to be screened. The 2nd day of Eid, Boss starring Sabila Noor, Shoab Monir, FH Shan is scheduled to air. The 7th day comes with Tor Na Amar?, starring Masud Rana Moddho, Satej Chowdhury and others. All these shows are directed by Riad Talukder. 

The series also contains Touhid Ashraf's Ladies Toilet, starring Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Manisa Orchy and MInakshi Roy. Another piece by Touhid Ashraf, Lalosha, is also set to release on the 6th day of Eid. The film stars Iqbal Hossain and Ive Jui. The Baishe 21 short film series contains a lot of works from other directors and stars as well, such as Noodles by M.A.Towfik.
