No Covid-19 deaths in 22 straight days

No Covid-19 deaths were reported for the 22nd consecutive day, while 51 new infections were recorded in the 24 hours till 8am today.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,127 and the death rate is 1.49 percent, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 19,52,939 added the release.

The current test positivity rate is 0.89 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.91 percent, said the press release.

A total of 5,736 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 291 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,98,603 and the recovery rate at 97.22 percent, added the release.
