After Toulouse, a Shaheed Minar is going to be built for the first time in the French capital Paris.

The announcement came at a press conference held at a Paris hotel on May 18, 2022.

The organisers said that the Shaheed Minar will be constructed at Bernard Marie Square of the St Denis University in Paris.

The design of the structure will be as per the central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka and it will cost around 70,000 euros.

With this Shaheed Minar, a longstanding dream of Bangladeshis living in France is going to be realised.

Kazi Enayet Ullah, Chief Coordinator of the Sheheed Minar implementation committee, the main organiser Swarup Sadiul, finance coordinator TM Reza spoke at the conference.

They said that the administrative activities and the design approval for the construction have also been completed. The construction work of the Shaheed Minar will begin soon.

The expatriate Bangladeshis will be able to pay homage to the martyrs at the permanent premises of the Shaheed Minar on International Mother Language Day (February 21), the next year. The expatriates have been paying homage at a temporary structure.

At the press conference, Bangladeshi expatriates living in France were urged for financial assistance for the construction of the permanent Shaheed Minar.
