No replacement considered for Shoriful in second Test

No changes have been considered in the Bangladesh squad to replace the injured Shoriful Islam as the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad today for the second Test at Mirpur, slated for May 23.

Shoriful Islam was earlier ruled out of the rest of the series following a fracture in his right hand. With four pacers in the squad in Khaled Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain and Shohidul Islam and Rezaur Rahman Raja, the selectors did not feel they needed someone to replace the left-arm pacer.

"We did not take any replacement for Shoriful as we have a big squad available," BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin told members of the media today.
