‘Se Ganer E Pakhi’ released to celebrate Lucky Akhand

Marking the 66th birth anniversary of renowned musician Lucky Akhand, the top musicians of the country gathered together at the musical release of his unreleased track "Se Ganer E Pakhi". The event was held yesterday at a hotel in the capital.
The track, which remained unreleased for the last 20 years, is written by Golam Murshed and tuned by Lucky Akhand. The song is voiced by Mehreen.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid, MP, spoke on the occasion as the chief guest. He emphasised on the necessity of promoting Lucky Akhand's creation to a global audience in his speech.
The Vice Chancellor of the Asian University of Women and the Chairperson of the Annisul Huq Foundation, Dr Rubana Huq, who could not attend the vent due to illness, conveyed her remarks in this regard though a text message.
Navidul Huq, co-founder and director of Bongobd.com, trustee of Annisul Huq Foundation, and director of Mohammadi Group attended the programme as the special guest.
The honourable guests released the audio and video of the song "Se Ganer E Pakhi" on Mehreen's official YouTube channel.
Golam Murshed, Mehreen, Foad Naser Babu, and flutist Ustad Azizul Islam, Fahmida Nabi and Dr Rubaiyat Rahman reminisced their memories with Lucky Akhand at the event. Maksudul Haque, Hamin Ahmed, Bappa Majumder, Sharmin Lucky, Labu Rahman, Sheikh Shahed Ali, Rumon of Parthib and Sumon from Pentagon, Nipo, Tanvir Alam Sajib, Enamul Karim Nirjhar, Tarun Munshi and Nafiz Kamal, were also present at the event, among others.
"Se Gaaner E Pakhi" has been arranged by Rupak. Produced by Limelight Studios, the music video is directed by Tajwar Yakin and S K Naeem. The video production features artistes Nazifa Ayat and Tasnuva.
