Day care, other facilities recommended for women’s development
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has made a number of recommendations for the development of women in the proposed budget for 2022-23 fiscal. The budget has made recommendations for the future of women's development.
In order to encourage women in the aviation sector, it has been recommended to provide incentive training to two women in flying schools in Bangladesh.
The budget also recommended increasing the number of toilet facilities for women in all domestic airports in the country, ensuring adequate lighting and CCTV cameras according to the demand of airports and improving the lighting system for the safety of women.
To prioritise women in development and employment of skilled human resources, it has been recommended to set up hotels with training centers in different district headquarters.
The budget also encouraged to take up training initiatives for women locally to motivate them in marketing activities through promotion and promotion of local products. It also pushed for establishing separate breastfeeding corners and day-care corners in commercial units for working women, set up separate complaint boxes for women.
