"Her dedication is exemplary": Stars wish Dolly Zahur on her birthday

Legendary actress, Dolly Zahur has captured both the small screen and silver screen with her enamouring performance. Viewers cannot forget her breakthrough performance as Nilu Bhabhi in "Eishob Din Ratri". 

The two-time National Award-winner has done it all, from theatre and TV to films. Dolly Zahur is adding another chapter to her life, as she is celebrating her birthday today.

While studying at Dhaka University, Dolly became involved in theatre. The beginning of her career very much revolved around Natyachakra and Chhayanaut, as she was a regular on the stage.

Her performance as Sanbarani in the drama "Manush" received rave reviews. Apart from this, "Moyursinghason" and "Iblish" are also considered as her classic works on stage.

The veteran artiste achieved her first National Award for her performance as Rabeya in "Shongkhonil Karagar". Later on, she received another National award for "Ghani". Other remarkable works by the artiste include "Aguner Poroshmoni", "Shongkhonil Karagar", "Shopner Thikana", "Nirontor", "Ghani", "Daruchini Dwip" and so many more.

Even now, the veteran artiste is still active in tele-fictions. Many celebrities have come forward to wish the renowned artiste on her birthday.

Dilara Zaman was full of praise for her "Eishob Din Ratri" co-star.

"Dolly has a wonderful persona and is an excellent actor. Both of us share a wonderful relationship and are really close to one another. I am really impressed by her sincerity and hard work, which makes me love her even more," said Dilara Zaman.

"During the shooting of 'Eishob Din Ratri', we used to be neighbours. We used to go to BTV while roaming around in rickshaws. The memories of those days are still etched inside my heart," added the actress.

Mamunur Rashid believes that Dolly Zahur always had the ability to transform herself into the role at hand.

"She is an amazing performer who could easily step into the shoes of her characters. Dolly is a natural talent whose brilliance sparks through each of her scenes. She has worked in our theatre troupe "Aranyak Natyadal" and "Bangla Theatre". She is a skilled artiste who has outdone herself by being involved in theatre, TV and films," said Mamunur Rashid.

Veteran artiste, Abul Hayat, and Dolly Zahur have worked together in many TV series and films.

"Both of us have worked together for a long time, and have shared some wonderful memories together. I even played the role of her father in "Shongkhonil Karagar". She is a perfect actress and an extraordinary person. An artiste needs to be down to earth and full of empathy, and Dolly Zahur is all of this and much more," said Abul Hayat.

Tariq Anam Khan believes that Dolly Zahur is a strong and spontaneous artiste.

"She can easily grasp any character and instantly make it her own. She has earned a place in the hearts of the audiences by showcasing her impeccable skills over several decades.
