GTA’s infamous 'Cluckin’ Bell' opens in real life
While fans eagerly wait for more news on Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI, this weekend, however, they did get some news they could enjoy. The infamous Cluckin' Bell restaurant, a parody restaurant in GTA that makes fun of KFC or Chick-fil-A, was opened in real life.
Now, Cluckin' Bell is not famous for its quality cuisine, but fans were excited to see a real-life version of the restaurant at San Diego Comic-Con. If you've never played a GTA game before, here's all you need to know about the restaurant. Cluckin' Bell is a fast-food restaurant within the GTA universe that first appeared in GTA: San Andreas.
The restaurant was brought to life by artist, BoyWorldWide, who sought to make the restaurant a reality at Comic-Con—which ran between July 21 and 24. Taking the form of a pop-up restaurant, BoyWorldWide has dubbed this an 'art performance' that tries to be an 'immersive experience' for fans.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that the upcoming GTA game would feature the series' first-ever playable female character. According to Bloomberg's sources, Rockstar—the company behind GTA—wants to make the GTA series a more inclusive experience. As a part of this initiative, Grand Theft Auto VI will feature the first playable female protagonist in the history of the series.
