After four rounds of play in the four-day tournament, Jamal took his tally to a total (272) of 16 under-par to win the 72-hole tournament by 10 strokes ahead of second-placed Mohammad Muaj, who also shot par or under par score in every round.

The 37-year-old played as per his reputation right from the start and having shot seven-under-par and five-under-par in the first two rounds, it became Jamal's title to lose from then on as his competitors could only play catch-up.

Mohammad Dulal Hossain came in third while Badal Hossain and Mohammad Solaiman claimed the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the amateur category, Shafiq Bagha became the champion by playing 18 shots over-par.

The tournament, organised by the Bangladesh Professional Golfers' Association (BPGA), featured 75 professional and 21 amateur golfers.
