Shakib reclaims T20I all-rounder top spot
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan has reclaimed the top spot in the T20I all-rounder rankings, according to the weekly rankings revealed by the ICC on Wednesday.
Shakib overtook Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi, who has seen a reduction of six rating points. Nabi now has a rating point of 246 while Shakib's rating point is 248.
Nabi had a disappointing Asia Cup campaign, scoring just 16 runs in the four innings that he batted in the five Asia Cup matches. The reduction in Nabi's rating points saw Shakib jump to the top spot after almost a year.
Meanwhile, India star Virat Kohli and Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga have been rewarded for their dominant performances at the Asia Cup by making giant strides in the rankings.
Kohli scored his first international century in almost three years and scored an impressive 276 runs at the Asia Cup. He improved a total of 14 spots to 15th overall on the T20I batter rankings due to his efforts.
Hasaranga's rise was just as impressive, with the Sri Lanka match-winner jumping up three places to sixth on the bowler rankings and seven spots to fourth on the all-rounder list after he was crowned Player of the Tournament at the Asia Cup.
