Technical issues force Air Arabia flight to make emergency landing at Dhaka airport
An Abu Dhabi-bound flight of Air Arabia made an emergency landing at the Dhaka airport this evening due to technical problems in one of its engines.
All passengers and crew members are safe.
"After reaching the air space of Jashore, the pilot of the Airbus-320 informed the control tower about a problem in one of the engines of the aircraft. The pilots wanted to turn back and make an emergency landing at the airport," Group Captain Kamrul Islam, executive director, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, told The Daily Star.
He also said the airport authorities had taken all measures for emergency landing at the airport.
Kamrul Islam said the aircraft landed at the HSIA at 7:55pm.
