Bangladesh's first multiplex, Star Cineplex, has completed its 18-year journey into the world of the entertainment industry. Cineplex authorities have organised a grand event at SKS Tower today. Esteemed guests will also be able to enjoy the premiere of Viola Davis starrer movie, "The Woman King."

Chairman of Star Cineplex, Mahboob Rahman, said that Cineplex started its journey on October 8, 2004 with its first-ever outlet in Bashundhara City Shopping Mall. The organisation attracted cinema lovers of the country with its state-of-the-art screens and Dolby sound system.

Star Cineplex to open at Bangabandhu Military Museum

Currently, Star Cineplex is operating in Dhaka at Bashundhara City in Panthapath, Shimanto Shambhar in Dhanmondi, Sony Square in Mirpur, and SKS Tower, Mohakhali. New branches are underway in Chittagong and Bogura. There are plans to build more cineplexes across the country, including Uttara and Cumilla.
