Henry Cavill has finally announced his return as the 'Man of Steel' on his official Instagram account. Recently, the British actor also made a cameo appearance in a post-credit scene of Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam".

The "Witcher" actor posted a video to his Instagram announcing that he would be reprising the role of Superman.

"I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this, because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch 'Black Adam'. However, now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official. I am back as Superman," said Cavill in the video.

Cavill also posted a picture in his Superman outfit, taken on the set of "Black Adam", by producer Hiram Garcia.

"Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded," added Cavill.

The end credit scene in "Black Adam" promises a future standoff between the last son of Krypton and the powerful Black Adam.
